Khan Purchases Fulham FC For Reported Fee Between $227-302M

Jaguars Owner Shahid Khan was introduced yesterday as the new owner for EPL club Fulham FC. Khan said that he would "build on the work" of departing Owner Mohamed Al Fayed, who had been with the club for 16 years. Khan: "It’s a very special place. This is the perfect club for me at a perfect time" (LONDON TIMES, 7/14). Khan will pay between US$227-302M for the club (London INDEPENDENT, 7/14). Jaguars President Mark Lamping will "join Fulham as a director" (London DAILY MAIL, 7/14).

Meanwhile, Al Fayed jokingly said to Khan in regard to keeping the club's statue of late singer Michael Jackson, "Are you listening to me about Michael Jackson? You promise now? Otherwise ... I will take your moustache off." The Jackson status is located outside Fulham's home stadium (AP, 7/13).
