Sources said that ESPN is “in serious discussions” with Keith Olbermann to “host a New York-based late night talk show on ESPN2” (NYDAILYNEWS.com, 7/12).

The '13 MLL All-Star Game in Charlotte yesterday saw 6,184 in attendance (THE DAILY).

It was formally announced today that Penn State and UCF will play in the Croke Park Classic in Dublin on Aug. 30, 2014, marking the "first time the teams have played outside" the U.S. (IRISH TIMES, 7/14).

President Obama played golf yesterday with ESPN's Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon to mark Kornheiser's 65th birthday. Obama "spent more than four hours at the golf course" (AP, 7/13).

UFC President Dana White yesterday announced the Chris Weidman-Anderson Silva rematch would be the main event of UFC 168 on Dec. 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena ("SportsCenter," ESPN, 7/13).
