Dumervil Signs With CAA Sports, Leaving Magid After Contract Mix-Up

CAA Sports has signed DE Elvis Dumervil for representation. Agents Tom Condon and Ben Dogra will represent him. He was formerly represented by Marty Magid of MRM Sports & Entertainment (Liz Mullen, Staff Writer). Magid “claimed the Broncos’ changing the terms” of their contract proposal to Dumervil “led to a delay that resulted in the paperwork not being sent to the NFL offices in time.” Magid said that Dumervil “called him Saturday afternoon to say he wants to ‘move in another direction.’” Magid said that he “will waive the five-day waiting period for Dumervil to hire a new agent, thus allowing his new representative to negotiate with teams immediately” (USATODAY.com, 3/16).
