The city of Sacramento has “scheduled three forums" this week to discuss the financing plan for an NBA Kings arena. The City Council is “then expected to vote on the arena financing plan at its March 26 meeting” (SACBEE.com, 3/15).

The Barclays Center has signed the Univ. of Kentucky and Univ. of Maryland to "multi-year agreements to play in Brooklyn on a yearly basis” (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 3/17).

Attorney Derek Howard said that former Univ. of Texas women’s track and field coach Bev Kearney last week “filed claims of race- and gender-based discrimination against the school with federal and state officials” (CHRON.com, 3/16).

The Warriors' short-sleeve jerseys were "retired for the season after Friday's game" against the Bulls (S.F. CHRONICLE, 3/16).
