Sources: Anschutz Expected To Pare Down List Of AEG Bidders

AEG Chair Phil Anschutz “may come up with a shortlist” of potential buyers for AEG “within weeks,” as negotiations continue over the value of the company's assets, according to sources. Colony Capital, Guggenheim Partners and L.A. biotech billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong “remain in discussions about a potential deal.” Colony Capital would bid along with Qatar's sovereign wealth fund. The bidders “have all submitted non-binding offers of under” $7B, with the bidders and AEG “about” $1B apart on price (REUTERS, 3/2).
