The PGA of America yesterday elected Peter Bevacqua as CEO, making the announcement at the 96th PGA Annual Meeting in Baltimore. Bevacqua has previously served as head of CAA Sports' golf division (PGA).

Phoenix Int'l Raceway today announced that the track will sponsor UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz during his upcoming title fight in '13. PIR's logo will be visible on Cruz' trunks and on his sponsorship banner (Phoenix International Raceway).

Saturday's UFC on FUEL TV 6 card in Macau, China, drew "an announced attendance of 8,415 fans" for a live gate of more than $1.3M (MMAJUNKIE.com, 11/10).

The Bobcats announced that they have designated every Saturday home game this season as Military Appreciation Night (Bobcats).

The Dodgers bid $25.7M for a "chance to sign Korean left-hander Ryu Hyun-jin." The Dodgers now have 30 days to negotiate a contract with Ryu, "who reportedly is represented by agent Scott Boras" (ESPNLA.com, 11/10).

Longtime NHRA announcers Paul Page and Bob Frey today are "working their final NHRA event" at the Automobile Club of Southern California Finals in Pomona, Calif. (ESPN.com, 11/10).
