Honey Supplants Bumble As Clippers' Jersey Patch Sponsor

Clippers

The Clippers have signed a new multiyear jersey patch deal with L.A.-based tech company Honey, which replaces social networking company Bumble. In the process, Honey becomes the Clippers’ biggest team sponsor. In addition to the jersey patch, Honey owns naming rights to the team’s training center and is a global sponsor as part of the NBA’s Int’l Team Marketing Program that allows each of the league’s 30 teams to sell three global deals. “We started with the naming rights on the training facility and that was a tremendous success,” said Clippers President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker. “They saw an opportunity to associate with the team to help lift their brand both in awareness and community activation.”

Activations around the deal include a 15% discount of team jerseys with the Honey logo on Clippers.com beginning on Black Friday, as well as a digital sweepstakes, increased exposure on Clippers social media and the team’s TV and radio broadcasts.
