Athlete-Focused PlayersTV Lands Carriage Deal With SlingTV

PlayersTV signed a carriage deal with SlingTV, adding distribution for the network that focuses on athletes’ lifestyle and culture. Back in July, PlayersTV signed a deal with ReachTV’s OTT network for airports and hotels. Trail Blazers G CJ McCollum will host a talk show called “Remaking America: A Conversation” for PlayersTV, the media network in which he also is an investor. McCollum is listed as an exec producer on the show, which will appear on the network alongside content like the docuseries “Swingman” about Baseball HOFer Ken Griffey Jr., who also is an investor. “Remaking America” will focus on social issues like education reform through interviews with athletes, politicians, community leaders and activists.
