GoFas Racing Will Sport Trump 2020 Design For Several Races

GoFas Racing

GoFas Racing has accepted a sponsorship deal from the Patriots of America PAC to put a Trump 2020 design on its No. 32 Ford in the NASCAR Cup Series for several races starting this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. GoFas says the deal is for nine races. The team first carried the Trump 2020 logo on its car last weekend, but that was just a small decal on the rear quarter panel. However, the PAC this weekend will have the primary paint scheme of the entire car. NASCAR typically does not block political paint schemes on cars. The Daily Beast cited FEC documents that showed this deal is worth $350,000.

The PAC does not appear to have any direct connection to the President Trump re-election campaign, but it sponsored a car in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series earlier this year at Daytona. Sources said the PAC spoke to several teams but only found a taker in GoFas, a small one-car team that has been rising in the ranks in recent years. GoFas driver Corey LaJoie is currently ranked 27th in points in the Cup Series after 15 races.
