Allegiant Stadium Set To Host Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder Part III

Top Rank Chair Bob Arum said that the Raiders' new Allegiant Stadium "has been reserved" on Dec. 19 for the third fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. Arum, who serves as Fury's co-promoter, said that he "hopes a crowd of 20,000 or so can attend the fight, provided the right precautionary and social distancing measures are in place amid the coronavirus pandemic." The fight would "likely be the first at the stadium" and would take place two days after the Raiders’ Thursday night game against the Chargers. Arum said last month Allegiant Stadium "could potentially host a lightweight unification bout in September" between world titlists Vasiliy Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez. But he said yesterday that "holding a fight in the stadium that soon may be 'too ambitious'" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 7/2).
