Staples Center, Teams Partner With Mixhalo App For Game Audio
Fans at Staples Center will now be able to access quality play-by-play audio during Lakers, Clippers, NHL Kings and WNBA Sparks games thanks to a partnership with Mixhalo. The mobile app company, founded by Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger and violinist Ann Marie Simpson-Einziger, offers fans the ability to customize their audio experience at a sporting event or concert. Attendees at a Staples Center sporting event can download the free Mixhalo app -- currently only on iOS -- to access the game’s audio, TV broadcast and PA system without relying on the venue’s WiFi.
Kings and arena execs tested the Mixhalo app at a Sept. 23 preseason game against the Ducks, toggling between iHeartRadio's and FS West’s broadcasts of the game.
