Brennaman Calling Final Reds Game; TV Blackout A Factor

MLB network today is airing longtime Reds play-by-play radio voice Marty Brennaman's final game, combining the FS Ohio TV feed of Brewers-Reds with WLW-AM's audio. But fans in "areas subject to local blackout" could miss out. Per MLB policy, "all live games are blacked out in each applicable club's home television territory." FS Ohio's Jim Day said that the net "will simulcast the ninth-inning call of Marty to end his career in addition to the on-field 'Marty Party' -- emceed by Day -- after the game" (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 9/25).

The Reds also "will mark Marty's farewell by passing out 20,000 transistor radios" (CINCINNATI.com, 9/25).
