Luck's Surprise Retirement Still Making National Headlines

Andrew Luck's surprise retirement from the NFL continues to make headlines 36 hours after his announcement, as this morning’s editions of ABC’s “GMA” and NBC’s “Today” both aired reports on the retirement in the first 30 minutes of their broadcasts. “GMA” aired the headline to tease their report in the opening segment, “Luck Runs Out.” A report on Luck also aired at the end of the first hour of “CBS This Morning.” The network national news programs all aired taped reports on Luck’s retirement announcement last night, teasing the story in their opening segments. ABC’s “World News” aired the headline “Leaving the Game,” NBC’s “Nightly News” used “NFL Bombshell” and the “CBS Weekend News” went with “Out of Luck” (THE DAILY).
