WrestleMania 34 Sets Mercedes-Benz Superdome's Gross Record

Last night's WWE WrestleMania 34 broke the record for Mercedes-Benz Superdome's highest grossing entertainment event with $14.1M, surpassing the venue's previous record of $10.9M set by WrestleMania 30 in '14 (WWE). The event went on before a sold out crowd of 78,133 fans, the "sixth-largest figure in the event's history" (THEADVOCATE.com, 4/8). 

Tweets from multiple fans revealed that some concession stands at the stadium "ran out of some food selections, ice and beverages." In one section of the upper reaches of the Dome, concession stands "seemed adequately supplied, though there was a wait for pizza and alcohol sales were suspended just after" 10:00pm CT (New Orleans TIMES-PICAYUNE, 4/9).
