NFL Network Suspends Analysts Over Sexual Misconduct Complaint

Former NFL Network exec producer Eric Weinberger and on-air personalities including Marshall Faulk, Heath Evans and Ike Taylor "allegedly groped and made sexually explicit comments to female colleague Jami Cantor," a former network employee. The allegations against the former players and Weinberger -- currently Bill Simmons Media Group President -- are "part of a lawsuit against NFL Enterprises" in L.A. Superior Court. NFL Media Group VP/Communications Alex Riethmiller said that Faulk, Taylor and Evans have been "suspended from their duties pending an investigation." Cantor worked as a wardrobe stylist at NFLN (BLOOMBERG NEWS, 12/11).

News of the suspensions was teased in the opening of NBC’s “Today” show with the header, “Sidelined.” In the show's report on the suspensions, NBC’s Hoda Kotb noted the NFL is “being rocked by the latest allegations of sexual misconduct.” NBC’s Savannah Guthrie: “Every industry is being touched by this” (“Today,” NBC, 12/12).
