76ers Parent Company To Build Team-Branded Facility In Delaware
76ers parent Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment plans to build a sports complex in Wilmington, Del., tentatively called the 76ers Fieldhouse. It includes a new 2,500-seat facility for the Delaware 87ers, the 76ers' G League franchise that will be rebranded next year. The facility will be part of a new 140,000 square-foot multi-purpose sports complex to be built in a partnership between HBSE and the Buccini/Pollin Group. The complex is expected to open in late '18. In addition to the fieldhouse, it will include three basketball courts, two indoor turf fields, a training area and about 30,000 square feet of commercial space.
