Van Wagner Sells Out Premium Inventory For Vikings' U.S. Bank Stadium

Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment, the Vikings’ sales agency, announced it has sold every piece of premium inventory at U.S. Bank Stadium, covering 50,000 Stadium Builders Licenses, 131 suites and 9,300 club seats. The 30-year seat licenses alone total $125M in revenue. It’s the first time seat licenses have been marketed in the Twin Cities. The Vikings play their first game Sunday at the $1.1B stadium, a preseason contest against the Chargers (Don Muret, Staff Writer).

Meanwhile, the big doors of the stadium open today "for the first time." The doors have "not all been open at the same time for a public event." Today is the team’s "first practice on the field," which is "not open to the public." No decision "has been made on whether the doors will be open Sunday." But Vikings Exec VP/Public Affairs & Stadium Development Lester Bagley said, “We’d like to see them open" (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 8/26).
