Source: NHL, NHLPA Land $25M In World Cup Of Hockey Sponsorship
The NHL and NHLPA have secured more than $25M in sponsorships for the upcoming World Cup of Hockey, according to a source. The league and union will hold a press event later today in Toronto where they will outline a number of business and technological plans for the two-week tournament, including the event's new sponsors. The NHL and NHLPA also will unveil programming and activations for a fan village that will be free and open to the public during the tournament, with Scotiabank serving as title sponsor.
