NCAA Officials Meet With White House Staff On Eve Of Convention

The first NCAA convention with "autonomy for the Power Five conferences and a new Division I structure" begins today in DC. NCAA officials and ADs yesterday met at the White House, and NCAA PR & Media Relations Dir Stacey Osburn said that the parties "did not discuss the concept of a presidential commission to review the state and direction of college sports." Rather, the meeting was "exclusively to discuss the issue of sexual assault prevention on campuses" via public campaigns (CBSSPORTS.com, 1/14).
