Several Races Shift Dates In '15 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Schedule
NASCAR last night unveiled the '15 Sprint Cup Series schedule, highlighted by the Southern 500 at Darlington moving "back to its traditional spot on Labor Day weekend." The "other two tracks involved in major alterations on the 36-race schedule" are Atlanta shifting its lone date to March 1 and Bristol moving its daytime spring race to April 19. The '15 Chase will be "contested on the current 10 tracks, starting Sept. 20" at Chicagoland. Daytona's mid-summer Coke Zero 400, which kicks off NBC's schedule, will be run in primetime on Sunday, July 5 (ROANOKE TIMES, 8/27).
