Video-Game Settlement Heads To Preliminary Approval Hearing

U.S. District Court Judge Claudia Wilken today will preside over a "preliminary approval hearing" for a newly revised version of the proposed NCAA video-game settlement. Wilken will discuss the combined $60M settlements: $40M from Electronic Arts and $20M from the Collegiate Licensing Company. If the settlement is approved, "current and former players could receive more money than initially expected with a second round of payments" (CBSSPORTS.com, 7/23).
