Power Outage At SAP Center Prior To Start Of Kings-Sharks Series

A power outage at SAP Center last night "darkened the arena" shortly before 7:00pm PT, "about 45 minutes before the scheduled start of the opening game" of the Kings-Sharks Stanley Cup Playoff series. The "bowl of the building was only in total darkness for less than a minute before generators kicked in to provide some light for the several hundred people already in their seats." The team came out for warmups at 7:10pm, "10 minutes later than scheduled" (SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 4/18).
