Budweiser, Fox Sports Partnering For World Cup Documentary Series

Budweiser and Fox Sports are teaming up on a six-part World Cup-inspired documentary series that will premier on FS1 March 25. Produced and directed by Scott Boggins and Gabriel Spitzer, "Rise as One" is part of Budweiser's int'l content campaign that the company is rolling out before this summer's FIFA World Cup. Budweiser, the official beer sponsor of the World Cup, and Fox Sports already have distributed the series to more than 55 countries. The companies describe the series' stories as "inspirational."

The first 30-minute episode will tell the story of how the Japanese women's national team has progressed after the '11 tsunami and nuclear disaster in the country. The second episode looks back at the U.S.-Iran game during the '98 World Cup. France ('98) and Zambia also are featured, as are an exhibition between Brazil and Haiti and a World War I game between Germany and Britain.
