Brodeur Trade Rumors Boost Ticket Demand For Devils Game

The possibility that Devils G Martin Brodeur could be traded before today's NHL deadline at 3:00pm ET "led to an increased demand" for tickets to last night's home game against the Red Wings. The Devils announced a crowd of 16,592, marking the eighth sellout of the season. The secondary market was "hot Tuesday" after reports that the Wild were "primed to trade fo Brodeur." StubHub spokesperson Cameron Papp said that "page views for the game were up 780% over the average and 37% of the site's sales for the game were purchased on Tuesday" (Newark STAR-LEDGER, 3/5).
