Architects Present Revised Designs For St. Paul Saints Ballpark
Architects for the independent St. Paul Saints' new downtown ballpark yesterday "unveiled a slightly revised design concept during an uncommonly packed meeting." A majority of the Lowertown Ballpark Design & Construction Committee supported the design, "which includes a one- to two-story facade of dark gray masonry or brick with a wide, open entrance." The meeting came several weeks after the State Historic Preservation Office sent a letter to the Minnesota Dept. of Employment & Economic Development "outlining concerns about the stadium's aesthetics" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 11/20).
