Kia, Other NBA Sponsors Rolling Out New Creative As Season Tips Off

Kia Motors America today announced the rollout of its latest ad campaign featuring Clippers F Blake Griffin, who will partner with comedian Jack McBrayer as the crimefighting duo "The Griffin Force" in a series of eight TV ads for the Optima sedan. The effort debuts tonight during the "Kia NBA Tip-Off '13" doubleheader on TNT featuring Bulls-Heat and Clippers-Lakers. The first spot will run in 60- and 30-second versions (Kia).

Kia's activation around the start of the season also will include taking over sponsorship of TNT's "Inside the NBA" postgame show from Hyundai. Meanwhile, adidas will feature new creative starring Bulls G Derrick Rose, and State Farm will "expand its campaign" with Clippers G Chris Paul. Paul also will "tout Nike's Jordan Brand line," while Nike and Sprite have new spots with Heat F LeBron James (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 10/28 issue).
