Former ManU Manager Alex Ferguson's Autobiography Out Today
Former EPL club Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson today releases "My Autobiography," and the 350-page book ghostwritten by the London Telegraph's Paul Hayward "ensures that his presence in the game will take some time to dissipate." There are "chapters on his Glasgow roots, his U-turn on retirement 12 years ago, and on some of the star players under his wing," such as David Beckham, Roy Keane, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney (FINANCIAL TIMES, 10/23).
Ferguson also dishes on his rivalry with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, embodied by the "pizza-gate" incident after ManU's victory at Old Trafford in October '04. Ferguson: "He was livid. His fists were clenched. I was in control, I knew it. Anyway, the next thing I knew I had pizza all over me. They say it was Cesc Fabregas who threw the pizza at me but, to this day, I have no idea who the culprit is" (MIRROR.co.uk, 10/22).
