Sponsorships, Champions League Help ManU Post Record Revenues
EPL club Manchester United today released financial results for quarter ended March 31, highlighted by record Q3 revenue of US$143M and double-digit gains in commercial, broadcasting and matchday categories. Commercial revenue increased 31.9% to US$56.1M, helped by the addition of several new sponsorship deals in Denmark, Japan and Vietnam. Broadcasting revenues increased 28.4% to US$33.8M due to the team advancing to the Champions League Round of 16. Matchday revenues increased 27.8% to US$53M, due primarily to an additional three home cup games in the quarter (ManU).
