Blue Jays, Rays Sell Out Last Two Of MLB's Season Openers
The Blue Jays and Rays yesterday hosted the last of MLB's season-openers, and both teams drew sellout crowds. A "hushed crowd" of 48,857 attended the Indians-Blue Jays game at Rogers Centre. The "rebuilding Indians" defeated the Blue Jays 4-1 (GLOBE & MAIL, 4/3). A crowd of 34,078 attended the Orioles-Rays game at Tropicana Field, where the Orioles "displayed their explosive offense" to win 7-4 (WASHINGTON POST, 4/3).
