Thunderstorm Forces Monday Finish To Arnold Palmer Invitational
The final round of the PGA Tour Arnold Palmer Invitational will tee off this morning at Bay Hill Club after being delayed Sunday due to "a powerful storm" that "snapped trees and spawned a microburst of hurricane-like winds." Winds on the course topped 60 miles per hour, "downing tree limbs, collapsing tents and toppling TV cameras" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 3/25). The tournament will honor tickets "fans had purchased for Sunday's final round." A limited number of tickets are still available for $18 (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 3/25).
Golf Channel will broadcast coverage of the final round beginning at 10:00am ET. Immediately following the conclusion of the tournament, the network will switch to live coverage of the first day of the Tavistock Cup at Isleworth Golf & Country Club (Golf Channel).
