The Int'l Tennis Federation announced that it has "agreed to adopt the biological passport program and to increase blood testing as part of a new anti-doping drive." The measures will "go into effect this year on both the men's and women's tours" (AP, 3/7).

MLBPA Exec Dir Michael Weiner said that union attorneys have "spoken to all of the players linked to the South Florida anti-aging clinic at the center of baseball's latest doping scandal." Weiner expects MLB investigators to talk to the players after the WBC ends later this month (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 3/7).

FIFA canceled an inspection visit to Maracana stadium in Brazil Rio de Janeiro "because the stadium was flooded." Parts of the construction site and some equipment "were virtually submerged" after heavy rains (AP, 3/7).

The Spurs yesterday unveiled a new rally towel which features the team's logo and "Go Spurs Go" (Spurs).

AFL Utah Blaze Owner Kristen Murdock has "sold her majority share of the team" to Salt Lake City marketing exec Kim Brown, who joins Logan Hunter and Abundant Brands as majority owners of the team (SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, 3/7).
