Astros Owner Jim Crane teamed with golfer Kevin Streelman to finish tied for third place in last week's PGA Tour AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am (MLB.com, 2/10).

Indian tennis players today formed an association to "protect their professional interests days after signing a temporary truce" with the All India Tennis Association (AITA). The AITA said that it will "wait for the association to approach the governing body for recognition and hoped it would not disrupt" ongoing resolution talks (REUTERS, 2/11).

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome this weekend hosted a Mardi Gras event and officials said that "all systems were working." The relay, which caused the power outage during last weekend's Super Bowl XLVII, has "been removed and will be replaced" (N.Y. TIMES, 2/9).

The Heat are partnering with the Miami City Ballet to celebrate 25 years of basketball and ballet in the city (NBA).

The Reds announced that the inaugural Reds Collegiate Invitational will feature the Univ. of Cincinnati and Univ. of Louisville baseball teams. The game will be played April 6 at Great American Ball Park (Reds).
