Falcons Stadium Plan Faces Critical Milestone At GWCCA Meeting

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority today "could approve the terms of a business deal to build" a $1B stadium for the Falcons. The GWCCA has called a "special meeting to discuss the proposed public-private partnership" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 12/7). In an FAQ regarding the deal, the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION's Tim Tucker notes approval of the non-binding term sheet "would not signal that a deal is done, but it would be a significant milestone in the protracted negotiations" (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 12/9).
