Pera Sits Courtside, Addresses Crowd At Grizzlies Home Opener

New Grizzlies Owner Robert Pera last night sat courtside at FedExForum and watched his team defeat the Jazz 103-94 in their home opener before an announced crowd of 17,401. NBA Commissioner David Stern introduced Pera "after thanking former Griz owner Michael Heisley before tipoff" (Memphis COMMERCIAL APPEAL, 11/6). When introduced, Pera said, "So, first off, thanks everyone for coming out tonight. We have some exciting ideas. I think it's going to be a great season and Go Grizzlies." Stern replied, "That's it?" (Memphis COMMERCIAL APPEAL, 11/6).
