Packers Expecting Record-Setting Crowd At Annual Meeting

The Packers' annual shareholders meeting today is expected to draw a record-setting crowd of 25,000 at Lambeau Field, which would "shatter the record attendance of 18,707 set in 1998." Shareholders at the meeting, which "will happen regardless of the weather conditions," will listen to GM Ted Thompson discuss football matters, elect new directors and get business updates (GREENBAYPRESSGAZETTE.com, 7/22). The large turnout is "the result of the newest stock offering over the winter that tripled the number of people who own shares in the team" (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 7/24).
