College World Series: Vendors Huddle Around TD Ameritrade Park

The College World Series begins today in Omaha, marking the second CWS played at TD Ameritrade Park, and the City Planning Department reports that vendor permits around the event are up from 46 last year to 70 this year. City Planner Dave Fanslau, who handles permit applications, said that vendors are "tending to locate closer to the ballpark and are consolidating at fewer sites." All temporary vendors "must be within the 1,000-foot radius" around the venue established by the NCAA and the city has a "clean zone to help regulate liquor sales and commercial activity" (OMAHA WORLD-HERALD, 6/15).

A limited number of CWS individual reserved seat tickets will go on sale today at 10:00am CT at the TD Ameritrade Park box office. Tickets "must be purchased at the stadium box office," and "only tickets for that day's games will be sold" (OMAHA WORLD-HERALD, 6/15).
