Bulls Announce Plan To Move Practice Facility To Downtown Chicago
The Bulls today announced that they are moving their practice facility to downtown Chicago from its current location at the Sheri L. Berto Center in Deerfield, Ill. The franchise is exploring several site locations, and a specific timetable has not been established for the privately funded project. This comes after Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel pitched Bulls Chair Jerry Reinsdorf on moving the practice venue downtown. The team plans to sell its current practice facility, where it has trained since '92 (Bulls).
Although the Bulls have not publicly confirmed the location for their new practice facility, the team’s plan is to attach it to United Center as part of an arena expansion that includes a larger team store, according to officials with 360 Architecture, the firm designing the project (Don Muret, SportsBusiness Journal).
