Record-Setting Sale Of Dodgers Slated To Close Today In L.A.

The $2.15B sale of the Dodgers to Guggenheim Baseball Management is slated to close today during a private meeting in L.A. involving Guggenheim officials, outgoing team Owner Frank McCourt and a variety of lawyers. The closing will complete a record-breaking deal announced last month, and formally approved April 13 by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The completion of the sale to Guggenheim will also formally end the highly tumultuous tenure of McCourt.

Last Friday marked the deadline for objections to the bankruptcy court order approving the sale to Guggenheim, and none were filed. Also slated for today is the wiring of $131M from Frank McCourt to Jamie McCourt as part of the pair's divorce settlement.
