Source: NBA, NBPA Holding First Meeting Since Lockout Began

A source said that in-house staff for the NBA and NBPA today "will hold their first meeting" since the league imposed a lockout on July 1. The session "will not include" NBA Commissioner David Stern, NBPA Exec Dir Billy Hunter, owners or players. The source said that the "purpose of the session is to 'get back on track' and address the timetable of future bargaining sessions." The meeting today in Manhattan is "not overly significant," but it "could lay the groundwork for the two sides to resume bargaining" (CBSSPORTS.com, 7/15).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft
