Glendale Will Meet With Goldwater Institute On Coyotes Bond Plan

Officials from the city of Glendale and the Goldwater Institute will meet this afternoon to "discuss the city's $100 million bond plan" that would aid in the sale of the Coyotes to Matthew Hulsizer. NHL officials also expect to be in attendance at the meeting (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/20).

The Coyotes' season ended last night with a 6-3 loss to the Red Wings in Game Four of a first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series, and it "could well have been the Coyotes' final home game ever." There was a "festive Mardi Gras atmosphere" at Jobing.com Arena (GLOBE & MAIL, 4/21). After the game, fans "remained in their seats, waving their white pom-poms, reluctant to leave." Soon a "Let's Go Coyotes" chant broke out as players gathered at center ice to "raise their sticks in appreciation" (AZCENTRAL.com, 4/20).
