Cricket Wireless Extends WWE Relationship With Multiyear Deal

Cricket Wireless is staying connected to WWE, announcing a new multiyear partnership that makes Cricket the co-presenting sponsor of the Royal Rumble PPV this Sunday. The deal extends to WWE's other premier PPV events as well, making Cricket an official partner and the exclusive wireless provider of WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series and Royal Rumble. Cricket also becomes the new presenting sponsor of the live kickoff shows that will take place prior to those four top events. The kickoff show for Royal Rumble will feature a Cricket activation asking WWE fans to submit their "getting ready for Royal Rumble" photos for a chance to be featured during the show. Cricket also will air a 30-second custom spot during Royal Rumble, which streams live Sunday on WWE Network at 7:00pm ET. WWE talent The Miz, Sasha Banks, Kofi Kingston and Charlotte Flair will serve as brand ambassadors for Cricket through original custom content, community activations and marketing materials. For Cricket, the latest deal builds on a relationship with WWE that began in '15 and has included community efforts such as anti-bullying events as well as talent meet-and-greets and retail promotions. "This relationship has allowed us to grow awareness of Cricket’s brand with WWE’s dedicated fan base over the past several years,” said Cricket VP & CMO Tiffany Baehman. Cricket used the YAH Agency to negotiate the sponsorship with WWE.
