Former NBAer Vince Carter "will be joining" the FS Southeast broadcast team for "five Hawks games in the first half" of the '20-21 season, according to Sarah Spencer of the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION. Carter will join play-by-play announcer Bob Rathbun, analyst Dominique Wilkins and courtside reporter Kelly Crull. Carter said, "I really know these guys and can have personal stories. And can give better analysis on a player in real situations or game-time situations." His first appearance will come tomorrow for Hawks-Nets. Carter during his two seasons with the Hawks played alongside Trae Young, John Collins, Kevin Huerter, Cam Reddish and De'Andre Hunter. Spencer notes this "isn't the first time Carter will appear on a Hawks broadcast," as he was a guest analyst on April 3, 2019, when he missed the game "due to load management." Carter "will make more appearances on the broadcast in the season's second-half schedule, which won't be released until near the end of the first half" (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 12/29).
