Binge Watching With The Clippers' Krystle Hogan

Hogan (l) during the pandemic has enjoyed spending time with TV families including "The Sopranos"KRYSTLE HOGAN

This week, THE DAILY caught up with KRYSTLE HOGAN, who was recently promoted to Clippers VP/Ticket Sales & Service, to break down what's on her watchlist. Some responses have been edited for clarity and brevity.

  • Crime dramas are one of my favorite genres, so it's a little embarrassing to admit that it's taken me 18 years to watch "THE WIRE," but I'm glad I finally did. It is the most authentic show I have ever watched -- the writing, the characters and acting -- telling different perspectives on drug crime in Baltimore.
  • I was only 15-years-old when "GIRLFRIENDS" debuted, so too young to appreciate these real-life trials and triumphs played out on TV by black women. It's easy for me to relate to women who look like me, just trying to navigate their careers and relationships with their family's help but, most importantly, their girlfriends.
  • My instructor suggested that I watch shows in Spanish, so when the pandemic hit, I figured I'd take that advice. Enter "NARCOS: MEXICO" and its riveting storyline. I tried my best to follow along with the subtitles. I picked up a few terms and sayings that my instructor probably wouldn't have covered.
  • REESE WITHERSPOON and KERRY WASHINGTON are two of my favorites, so I was thrilled to see them team up in "LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE." It's not about arson, as the title suggests, but morality and motherhood, as two strong-willed women stop at nothing to protect their families.
  • If you think it was embarrassing to admit I didn't see "The Wire," you should have seen people's reactions to me never seeing "THE SOPRANOS." I was not truly ready for the emotional rollercoaster that is TONY SOPRANO.

"Binge Watching" will be dark 11/26 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Interested in sharing your favorites with the industry? Contact Andrew Levin at alevin@sportsbusinessdaily.com.
