Bulls' New City Edition Unis Honor Chicago's Architectural Heritage

Chicago's art deco architecture provided inspiration for the Bulls' new uniformsBULLS

The Bulls' City Edition alternate uniforms this year will have an "art deco style logo on the chest and the phrase 'No Little Plans' stitched above the tag," a phrase that pays "homage to Chicago city planner Daniel Burnham’s quote 'Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men’s blood,'" according to the CHICAGO SUN-TIMES. Bulls Senior Dir of Creative Services Jon Shoemaker said that the "overall theme of the uniform was inspired by the art deco architecture throughout Chicago," including the United Center itself (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 11/14). In Chicago, Rob Schaefer reported the uniforms feature a "red, grey and gold color scheme and diamond patterning" and serve as a "tribute to Chicago's architectural history." The uniforms also include a "font inspired by the United Center and gold highlights to reflect downtown Chicago's aesthetic" (NBCSPORTSCHICAGO.com, 11/13).
