Audience Analysis: NBC Seeing Best Notre Dame Numbers In Years

Coming off its least-watched NBC season yet in '19, Notre Dame’s run to No. 3 in this week’s AP Top 25 has lifted the Fighting Irish’s viewership numbers. Through three ACC games on NBC (excluding the USF matchup on USA Network at 957,000 viewers), games are averaging 3.6 million viewers, which would be the network’s best figure for Notre Dame games since '12. Notre Dame has two more games remaining on NBC, including a potential blockbuster with No. 1 Clemson in primetime on Nov. 7. For the next two weeks though, ABC has its first games this season with Notre Dame -- two 3:30pm ET telecasts against Pitt and Georgia Tech, respectively. ESPN also has a potential Irish matchup with still-ranked North Carolina set for the Friday after Thanksgiving.

The chart below lists viewership figures from select recent sports telecasts.
