The 76ers named Pacers Senior VP/Basketball Operations PETER DINWIDDIE Exec VP/Basketball Operations and Magic Scouting Dir PROSPER KARANGWA VP/Player Personnel. Dinwiddie replaces ALEX RUCKER in the role, who is "being re-signed and is likely to focus on analytics." Rucker will be "more of an information-gatherer as opposed to a decision-maker." NED COHEN "will remain" as Assistant GM (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 10/17)....Wake Forest Associate AD/Athletic Communications STEVE SHUTT "will retire on October 31," following 13 years at the school and 40 years in the Media Relations field. Shutt joined Wake Forest in '07 after having served as Wofford College Associate AD. Shutt is the "second-longest serving athletics communications director at Wake Forest behind only MARVIN "SKEETER" FRANCIS' 14-year tenure from 1955-69." Before Wofford, Shutt was the Associate Commissioner for Public Affairs for the Southern Conference (Wake Forest)
