Executive Transactions

The Thunder made "seven internal promotions" for members of their front office. WILL DAWKINS and ROB HENNIGAN will share the title of VP/Basketball Operations. Hennigan was previously VP/Insight & Foresight. Former Thunder C NAZR MOHAMMED was promoted to GM & Pro Personnel Evaluator of the G League Oklahoma City Blue. PAUL JOHNSON, previously a pro evaluation coordinator, will work with Mohammed as the Blue's Assistant GM. Longtime staff member JESSE GOULD has been promoted from Dir of Pro Evaluation to VP/Strategy & Analysis. WYNN SULLIVAN has been promoted to VP/Strategy & Design after previously serving as Dir of Strategic Planning. BRANDON BARNETT has been promoted from Senior Pro Scout to Dir of Pro Player Personnel (OKLAHOMAN, 9/30).

EXECS: The Bulls named Pelicans Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist TODD CAMPBELL Head Athletic Trainer. Campbell has more than 16 years of NBA experience (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 9/30)....Hendrick Motorsports crew chief CHAD KNAUS will move into a management role with the team, becoming VP/Competition. He will replace JEFF ANDREWS, who has been in the role since '17 but was elevated to Exec VP & GM. Knaus will report to Andrews, who has been with Hendrick Motorsports since '92 (AP, 9/29)....The organizing committee of the Tokyo '20 Olympics has named MIKAKO KOTANI as its new Sports Director. She takes over the position on tomorrow, replacing KOJI MUROFUSHI, who is becoming Japan's Sports Agency Commissioner, a position in the Japanese government (AP, 9/30).
