Penguins' Arena To Feature New Sportsbook-Inspired Lounge

The BetRivers lounge at PPG Paints Arena will "feature two rows of luxury seating where fans will be able to watch the Penguins games live while betting via the BetRivers.com app on their mobile devices," according to Patricia Sabatini of the PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE. The new space, which will include a "bar and multiple live-action screens, will be created by removing several rows at the top of section 120 in the lower bowl." Officials "didn’t say exactly when the new betting lounge might be ready, but are looking ahead to the days when fans return to the arena." The lounge is "slated to have the same look and feel as the sportsbook lounge at Rivers Casino on the North Shore, created by the same designer, DMAC Architecture of Chicago" (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 9/24). In Pittsburgh, Jerry DiPaola noted there will be several screens in the lounge "showing the live action on the ice" (TRIBLIVE.com, 9/23).
