DraftKings Signs Betting, Fantasy Partnership With NFL Giants

DraftKings has agreed to a deal with the Giants, securing "another sports partnership" and becoming the NFL team's "official sports betting and daily fantasy sports partner," according to Jabari Young of CNBC.com. DraftKings is allowed to "access team trademarks and logos as it looks to continue building its brand on the gambling front." The company also will have "exclusive digital gaming rights and access to the team's virtual sports lounge at MetLife Stadium on game days once fans are allowed back in stadiums." Exposure will come from "premier brand integration across MetLife Stadium during Giants home games," in addition to a presence "across all team-controlled media including television radio and digital and social." Financial terms were not provided. This is DraftKings' latest move to "secure more market share on the sports gambling front," following a deal with ESPN that will see DraftKings content "integrated with the Disney-owned network." DraftKings also has landed an equity deal with Michael Jordan, and "secured its first" MLB partnership with the Cubs. The company has DFS agreements with the Cowboys and Patriots, plus DFS/sportsbook deals with the 76ers, Celtics and Pacers. Additionally, an industry source said that "another agreement is in the works with" the Pistons (CNBC.com, 9/16).
