Canadian MLS Teams To Play "Home" Games In The U.S.

The three Canadian MLS teams will "each play a 'home' game" in the U.S. as the league's regular season continues, according to the AP. Because of travel restrictions, the Impact "will host a match at Red Bull Arena" in Harrison, N.J., while Toronto FC will play in Hartford, Conn., and the Whitecaps in Portland, Ore. (AP, 9/11). The CP's Neil Davidson noted Toronto FC will host the Crew on Sept. 27 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, one of "three regular-season matches for the club in the coming weeks." The 38,000-seat stadium is home to UConn football. A source said that the club "will play all of its remaining regular-season games in East Hartford" (CP, 9/11).
